Additional Further Extension to Public Consultation Period to Section 31 Draft Ministerial Direction on Variation No. 2 of the Cork County Development Plan 2014 (Retail Outlet Centres)
The Minister has commenced Section 9 of the recently enacted Emergency Measures in the Public Interest (Covid 19) Act, 2020 which inserts a new provision (Section 251A) into the Planning and Development Act, 2000, as amended.
The Minister made a further Order on 8th May 2020 under Section 251A(4), such that the period from 29th March 2020 until Saturday 23rd May 2020, inclusive, may be disregarded when calculating any appropriate period, specified period, or other timelines in the Planning and Development Act, 2000, as amended, or provisions, or in any regulations made under the Act.
In accordance with said Order the Public Consultation Period on the Draft Ministerial Direction has had an additional further extension to 12 midnight on Wednesday 27th May 2020 so as to facilitate engagement by members of the public.
A copy of the Draft Direction may be inspected online at www.corkcocodevplan.com at all times and a submission can be made at any time up to 12 midnight on Wednesday 27th May 2020.
Section 31 – Ministers Draft Direction on Variation No. 2 of the Cork County Development Plan 2014 (Retail Outlet Centres)
On 6th March, 2020, the Minister for Housing and Urban Planning notified Cork County Council of his intention to issue a Direction pursuant to Section 31 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended). The draft Ministerial Direction relates to Variation No. 2 of the Cork County Development Plan 2014 (Retail Outlet Centres)
Submission or observations in respect of the draft direction can be made from 9am on Thursday 19th March to 12 midnight on Wednesday 27th May, 2020.
